Swimming and Raining

Yesterday I took the kids swimming which is really not my favorite activity. So we were in the water for only about 45 minutes when they had to close the pool for some offending object being found in the water. Which leaves the other pool to swim in but it is much colder. We didn't stay in the cold pool for long.

When we got home we made cookies. While we were baking it started to rain. Olivia insisted on going outside with her umbrella and singing "rain, rain go away". Here is the pic.

Running

So I just want everyone to know that yesterday I ran a mile in under 10 minutes. I know that is by no way a world class speed but it is pretty good for me.

First school pics

Here are Cyan's Kindergarten pictures. Enjoy this image because very few of you are going to see a copy of your own. I couldn't believe the prices of the packages. I know some local professional studios that don't charge that much. However, the pic is cute although you don't have to be a talented photographer to make this kid cute.

Weekend

We had a busy weekend but I did not bring my camera to any of the festivites. First on Saturday the girls and I attended a baby shower for a wife of a co-worker of James. Cyan was very excited to go because usually I do no take them to these events. We won a game and Cyan claimed the prize as her own.

The Sunday was church, Sunday School, and a BBQ with the Johnsons. Olivia in the middle of Church says to James "I don't want to sit with you, you are a spanker. Mommy you are a spanker and sister you always spank me hard, hard, hard." You can imagine what I wanted to do with her then. Then the kids went to Sunday School which they both enjoyed. After was a very fun BBQ that lasted until after bed time.

This week Cyan only has 3 days of school so we might get to plan some family fun for Thursday. Maybe a movie or bowling.

To Grandma's

The kids are going to stay with Grandma Kitty tonight. Olivia has been so excited for the past week that she woke up at 6:30 today and by 6:50 she was stationed by the door waiting for her.

So the kids are going to ride the train and go to the diamond rock museum (visitors center) and then come back home tomorrow. I am going to watch movies, make bows, and go shopping and look through the whole sale rack (something the kids usually do not have patience for).

Birthday Parties and Sunday School

This weekend we went to a very cool birthday party at Artsports. The have tons of trampolines, foam pits, plus other very cool stuff. The kids loved it and had a great time. We are planning on going back for playtime. Sorry that the pics are not very good, they came from my phone.

The girls also started Sunday School, FF, RE, CCD or whatever the Catholic Church is calling it these days. As expected Cyan went in, sat down, and loved every second of it. Plus the girl that was behind us at church was in her class. Olivia on the other hand cried and wanted me to stay with her which I did not even though I wanted to. When I went pack to pick Olivia up she was having a blast playing hide and seek with binoculars. Glad they both had fun.

Balloons

This morning we got up early and went to see the hot air balloons launch. We also saw a couple dip in the lake. I think one got a little more than they bargained for when they landed waist deep in the water. Then we played on the playground and went home for an backward picnic.
