Is Olivia stubborn?

Lets play a little game. It is called "Is Olivia Stubborn?", there are a couple more titles that would fit but lets go with that one. First, I will show you a picture of where Olivia fell asleep. You try to guess where she is and why. Then I will show you the answer. Any of you who knew her father at a young age will appreciate this greatly. I dare say James' parents will say he deserves a little of this.

Ok, here we go...

The first pic

Now guess where is Olivia and what is she doing..............

Wait for it.......

Ready......

Were you right?

Yes that is my dear Olivia asleep on the steps to the garage. Here is the story. She was being particually sassy and refusing to eat any dinner. She was excused to cry in the garage (you can cry in the garage but not in the living room). She was told she could come in when she was done crying and ready to eat her dinner. Instead the little darling decided to sleep it off. She is there as I type still sleeping.

That child is going to be the end of me......

College

This morning while I was getting ready for work. This girls and I were talking about college. Cyan has been interested in college probably because of Uncle Chase. She has been talking about how she will have to live in a room with a roommate. She is also planning on taking Roscoe with her. Olivia said she doesn't want to go to college... then she changed her mind and said "I do want to go to college if it is a princess college" So everyone be on the lookout for a Princess College for my Olivia. I doubt we need to worry about Cyan - she would move out tomorrow if it meant she was a big girl.

High School Musical 3

We went to see High School Musical 3 today. I hope Disney is rolling in all the money all of us parents parted ways with this weekend, but the movie wasn't bad. This is what Oliva insisted on wearing which would have made more sense if it was a western. Almost forgot to mention that in the movie there is a kiss and Olivia shouted "EEWWW, them are kissers."

Leaf Jump

The girls have be putting in some work in the backyard raking up the leaves. They were making a pile to jump in. This afternoon was the big day. Here are the pics.

James promotion

I forgot to mention that James was promoted to the Asst Squad Leader on his ERT team. I have been teasing him that he has his very own DOC leash because the promotion came with a pager that you have to carry at all times and be ready to respond in a moments notice. If you put that aside I know that he earned this and received it because of the awesome example he sets while there. Way to go James!!

Another Halloween Craft

Here is today 's Halloween craft. This was a Wilton kit that we purchased. It was easier and more fun than we thought. The candy is not half bad if you can get passed the diabetic shock.
Tomorrow is the much anticipated High School Musical 3. James was unlucky enough to have to work. It is just us girls headed to the movie this time.

Halloween crafts

We have made a couple Halloween crafts. First is the spiderweb constructed out of Christmas lights. We made that on a very cold day. We also have a giant black spider to attach once the holiday is closer. The second is our cheesecloth ghosts. Creepy huh?

Fall break is over!!

I am so thankful that the most boring and dreaded 2 weeks of the school year is over and Cyan goes back to school tomorrow. Thank goodness. The girls have been fighting and bored to the extreme. Yea for Mommy!!!

Ladies Night Out!!

So I want to say thank you for the wonderful evening to all the sisters in law and my mother in law. It was a great time and we will have to remember not to let 2 years pass until we do it again.

Pump It Up

The kids and I decided to go to Pump It Up on Tuesday. For those who are from out of town it is an indoor area for the inflatable slides, ect. We were using up my coupon from last years Entertainment Book. It was fun and very tiring. My legs are too long to maneuver like a kids on those things. I guess that is why they are made for kids. Here are some pics

Horses!

The girls were able to take a horseback riding lesson today. It was really great. Cyan was able to ride the horse all herself. She took the reings and steered it through the obstacle course over a half a dozens times. She took time to figure out how to do it and was a natural. Olivia likes it as well. She chatted and chatted with the trainer. We will be going back for more lessons.

Shooting

So as usual I forgot my camera when we went to the range. It is really to bad because Cyan had a blast shooting. She was a real pro popping balloons left and right. She was shooting a friends' .22 and is now asking for one. Here is a pic of what she wants. We had so much fun with it that we are now looking for one.

This morning we took Cyan the the Home Depot kids project. She made a fire truck. It was fun and now she is enjoying her creation.

Then this morning Olivia was invited to go to a Nature Center with Amelia. I am sure I will have a post of her activities and projects when she gets home.

Cyan report card and Parent-Teacher Conference

Cyan received her first report card and we had our first kindergarten parent-teacher conference. Cy's teacher is Mrs. Hoehn who we have know from our church and our neighborhood for years. I find that comforting when I leave my child with her everyday. So Mrs Hoehn says that Cyan is a great worker and great listener. Cyan helps the other children with their work and really enjoys Spanish. She is far ahead of what is expected in some areas and on target for the rest. I would load the report card but it is a 5 page whopper that you need to be an engineer to read.

Today we are going shooting with James' friends. I will load pics of the event tomorrow.
