And then later that evening the girls and I decided why not have monster eggs. So now we do...

Easter Eggs
We dyed our Easter eggs this morning. We may have gone a little overboard because we over 4.5 dozen. We had fun though.
Here are the girls while dying.
Here is the mess that we made.Oddly enough it was James that freaked out about the mess. Here is his reaction. :)
Olivia's Program
Olivia's Kindergarten perfomed a program based on nursery rhyme songs. Her music teacher is very talented because all 120 kids knew all 9 songs and all the hand movements to them. Olivia was very good and the hand motions and took the acting parts very seriously. She was the cutest little kid up there.

Day 7
Day 7 started with wearing the girls out in the hotel pool. Next we packed up and hit the road.
We were sad for our vacation to end but enjoyed it thoroughly.

Day 6
On the morning of day 6 we had to say goodbye to our lovely GG and we were all sad to see her go. We had a full day planned even in her absence.
First we went to collect shells at the beach. This is a picture of Cyan seeing how close she could get to the seagulls. When she saw them on the bay side of the ocean she called them baygulls or bagels. James and I thought that was pretty cute.
When we were exploring and looking for shells we saw quite the interesting stuff. The most interesting were the washed up jellyfish but we also saw snails and sea urchin. When we walked out onto the jetty some people even showed us the fish they caught.
The best part of this morning was when James got the car stuck in the sand right after I told him that I didnt think he "was charting his course very well.... that sand looks deep and soft" and right when I said soft we sunk right into it. No fear, he single handedly pushed us out.
Next we took a dolphin watching tour. Here are the girls waiting to get on the boat.
Here was our boat.
Cyan watching a dolphin
My girls on the boat. Yes, Olivia spent most of the tour asleep on the top deck in the wind. She did see a couple dolphins before she fell asleep.

After our tour we went back to the beach and the girls tried to swim but decided it was too cold. Plus Cyan saw a crab while trying to boogie board and got really freaked out.
Day 5
On day 5 we visited the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. This was GG's destination and we were really happy she requested it.
Our first stop was this nice pond.
Our second stop was on the bay.
There is a raccoon out there.
Our third stop where we saw the alligator. James was leaning over to it and making it growl at us and once it dis all of us got very afraid. Grandma nearly ran to the car while Olivia cried and clung to my leg.
This is how close the alligator got to us. The railing of the deck was the only thing separating us, so when I say it got close - it was REALLY close.
Our fourth stop that overlooked the bay. The dot in the water is a fisherman.
A picture of Grandma taking pictures of flowers. It was just too cute to not take a picture of this typical cutey GG thing.

Our third alligator (which crawled right up on the bank at us)
We left the preserve and headed to the beach in Rockport. There was this great bay beach and the shallow water went on forever.
Here are the girls pulling each other on the boogie board. They also dug GG a chair and then gave her "foot baths". This was a great day!
Day 4
On Day 4 the weather did not turn out like we wanted but we didnt give up until the afternoon.
The first order of business was to cross the ferry to Port Aransas.
Then we had to stop at a tourist gift shop to buy sweatshirts for the girls because it was a little too cold to be without one.
After lunch we decided to tour the USS Lexington, a retired aircraft carrier.
Our new family motto, which translate to exactly what you think it does.

Day 3
On Vacation Day 3, we left San Antonio and headed to Corpus Christi. We arrived in town and had some GREAT Mexican food. While we waited for Grandma GG we headed to play at the beach. Olivia tried to stay dry and ended up soaking wet, of couse with Olivia that is to be expected. The girls were thrilled with collecting shells. We even found these little clams that would dig back down after every wave.
