Reconciliation

Olivia celebrated her First Reconciliation.  She was very lucky to get the same priest that both James and Cyan had for their First Reconciliation.

Cyan was invited to a sleepover with Hannah.  Olivia and I took the opportunity to hang out together.  We went to dinner and play games at Itz.  We had a blast hanging out together.

Thanksgiving

Our new Thanksgiving tradition would have to be running the Turkey Trot.  The kids start with the one mile fun run and then the adults tackle the 5k.

The girls and I had Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma Kitty's.  Here is a picture of the girls tackling Uncle Chase.  Amelia and Olivia are on his feet and that Cyan hanging from his neck.

When we got back to the Springs the girls literally begged to go out shopping for Black Friday.  Since the sales started at 8 I caved and off to Walmart we went.  We were standing by the DVDs and once the sale started chaos ensued.  Olivia almost instantly started crying saying that we shouldn't be there without James.  We were in the car with our purchases bu 8:09.  I don't think we will do that again.

Lost tooth

Olivia has now lost both front teeth.  We were at dinner with Uncle Dan and she showed him how loose the first one was.  He told her that he would give her $1 if she pulled it out, so the little stinker did it.  Then the second tooth got loose and she pulled it out at school.

Halloween

This Halloween Cyan dressed as Hermione from Harry Potter and Olivia was Cleopatra.  They were able to wear their costumes to school all day since they were dressed as characters.  The school just said they would have to complete a writing assignment about their character if they dressed up.

Here are some pics before they went trick or treating with James.  Our tradition is that Dad go trick or treating and Mom stays home and hands out candy.  I think James likes this as much as the kids do.

Kids Fall Series

The kids completed the third run of the series (we missed the second for Faith Formation).  This run was at Ute Valley Park and was the longest that they have completed yet.  Olivia ran half a mile and Cyan ran 1.25 miles.

Harry Potter Party Number 2

Cyan finished the second Harry Potter weeks ago but we were finally able to host the party.  This time we prepared warm butterbeer which was far better but terribly sweet.  We also had basilisks (red licorice) and treacle tart.  (Word of advice skip the treacle tart).  We better start planning because Cyan has already finished Harry Potter number 3.

YMCA Halloween Party

We went to the YMCA's Halloween Party.  The first order of business was the haunted maze.  Olivia was scared before the door even opened.  When someone jumped out at the big girls ahead of us, Olivia had enough.  She flails her arms and screams "I'm not going.  I'm not going".  We turned around and went back out.
