New Toy!

The kids were given a new toy as an early Christmas present from their Grandpa. It has been all the rage at our house. Pretty cute!

MSNBC Lockup

So James informed me that the plan is for a film crew from MSNBC's show Lockup to be filming at his prison. It is supposed to start next month and they are scheduled to film for 40 days. I think that means it is going to be am extended stay version, if you watch the show and I do.

So maybe we will have a TV star among us. Although there are some that probably should not watch the show (JOY) even if it does air.

I will keep you updated.

Saturday and Chuck E Cheese

So today the kids and I had a busy day. We went to the Y, a craft fair (where our purchase was 2 cupcakes), got the kids haircuts, played a Chuck E Cheese, and stopped for a turkey at King Soopers.

The haircuts were for our family picture that is scheduled to this Wednesday. That is of course if I can refrain from dropping a can on Olivia's head (there was an unfortunate Wal-Mart accident and she has the bruise on her forehead to prove it). I got the girls some cute and on sale dresses from Children's Place that arrived my mail this week. Now James and I just have to find something to wear.

Then we burned through Chuck E Cheese tokens as fast as we could. Here are the pics from there:

Now we are just looking forward to Thanksgiving and James' mini-vacation for the holiday.

Dinner!

James and I had some friends for dinner last night. We had pork tacos that James had to make himself because I was at work. The food was good and the company was better. I meant to take more pics but forgot. I will share what I did take. This is James with his friends from work and his brother.
I have no idea what is going on in the below pic but next time you see James be sure to ask about his hetero life partner.

What is this dog doing?

What is this dog doing? This is not another "Is Olivia stubborn?" game, I just found the dog up here and thought it was funny.

Pics of the Johnson's

Just thought I would share...

A Lovely Dinner

James and I had a lovely dinner with Skip and Shelly to celebrate the one year anniversary of the kidney transplant. I am very thankful that everyone involved is healthy and living life. I am also so proud of James for this selfless act. Thanks for the great dinner Skip and Shelly

So while we were out all the kids were with Aunt Joy. First they went to dinner and then to Chase's basketball practice. Aunt Joy commented on how great Chase is with the little kids. Here is proof. Cyan likes to color in bed before she goes to sleep. This is the picture I found last night. Apparently Chase made quite the impression.

Cyan's Shopping List

Here is Cyan's shopping list for Thanksgiving Dinner. To say the least it would not be traditional Thansgiving fare.

James is the BEST DAD

So yesterday Olivia and I were at Wal-Mart. We were almost done and she says "Mom, where is my Pup?" Thus begins the hour long search for the pup that ended with Olivia in tears and no pup.

So the BEST DAD EVER went to Wal-Mart today and FOUND PUP. YYEEEEAAAAHHHH!

For those of you who know Olivia know how attached she is to that pup. We are thankful to have found him. It was almost like a member of our family was gone.

Cheers to the BEST DAD!!!

Grasshopper

James caught this grasshopper and it was so gigantic I had to share. We put it in a bottle to look at it overnight. It was so huge that it would move the bottle when it jumped. Olivia and I let it go and her and Roscoe enjoyed chasing it around the yard for 30 minutes. Here are the pics.

Halloween Extravaganza!! Part 2

In the afternoon James and I went to Cyan's school for the Halloween party. The had orange soda floats with black licorce straws. The kids made spider hats and James made himself one as well, too bad I didn't get a picture of him wearing it. We came home got ready and did a little early trick-or-treating at Grandma's and Aunt Joy's.
We came home and the party was on. James and the kids headed out. I think that James had those kids walk over a mile and a half. Plus, once Olivia got tired they dropped her off and went back out. It was so nice out no one wore a jacket, mittens, leggings, or snowboots. A little strange for Colorado.
I guess it was worth it. Here is thier haul. This candy will last forever.

I almost forgot like our dog before Roscoe got in on the action. Kids really like seeing him in his costume. He was very friendly and said hi to all the kids. One lady even came to the door and said so this is the dog in costume I heard about.

Halloween Extravaganza!! Part 1

I will have to break this Halloween post up into a couple different ones to not overwhelm you. Halloween is James' favorite holiday and pumpkin carving is one of the reasons. This year we had 3 for him to design and carve. Funny for some reason he leaves the cleaning out the inside to me and the kids. Here is a pic of Cy and James hard at work. You will remember that at this time Olivia was asleep on the steps.

Here is the finished product. Pretty cool!!
