AFA football

The girls and I were able to go to the AFA football game today. I love the games, there is so much that goes on. Cyan loved it too but Olivia was too hot. Cyan was asking me to explain the rules of football. I guess she didn't trust my answers because she wanted to know if Grandma Kitty knows and she said she would just ask her.


I think the guy in the above pic trying to get out of the way is hilarous.


Olivia took this picture.Olivia spent most of the day too hot but fell asleep during the 4th quarter. This is her starting to fall asleep in the middle of the very loud game.

Cyan's week at school

Cyan had a very eventful week at school. First we will start with the easy stuff. She received another Paws Certificate this time for Positive Attitude. Her prize was a very cool pencil. She also was awarded a bracelet from the Spanish teacher for learning the new song and being able to sing it to the class. She also has a group of friends on her team, they include Myiah, Cristabell, Arlene, and Jessica. They seem to frequently recruit new members.

Now to move onto the hard stuff. I was informed by Cyan this week, that she is in fact, IN LOVE. His name is Herold and he has a faux-hawk (click to learn) just like Cyan's Dad. Plus the best part of all Cyan told us that Herold kissed her hand. YIKES! So I did speak with the teacher in hope that we can end this kissing in Kindergarten. Cyan's Dad will not make it to first grade if we don't succeed.

Here is the picture we had taken of the three granddaughter. Of course this is Cyan and Olivia and also my niece Amelia. The actual act of getting the pic was brutal but it is cute.

James' vacation

So James was on vacation last week and Cyan had Monday and Tuesday off from school. We did lot of fun things like the skyride at the zoo, Itz, bike rides, and BBQ's. Plus James and I got to go to dinner by ourselves Friday night. I didn't take any pics of our activites but I stole some from my sil's blog. This is at the BBQ, there is one of all the grandkids that were present and 2 others of James with the gas mask. The gas mask has become his favorite method of wierding people out. He enjoys the looks he gets at the gym when he wears it on the treadmill.

Another certificate!

Cyan wants me to inform everyone that she earned another PAWS certificate. This time she won for working safe. Not really sure what she did to earn it but we are happy just the same. I would scan it in for all to see but last time it was a huge pain. So it looks just like the ones below except working safely is circled.

New Johnson!

Here is the newest member of our family. This is Jack. He came to us a little by accident but we took him just the same. He came from an older lady who had to move into assisted living. He was bounced around a little after that but is here now. He is a little more timid and shy than Roscoe. Roscoe keeps trying to play and be wild but Jack isn't just there yet. The kids are excited because now they each have their own dog. We do think we are at our wieney limit now though.

First week of school, DONE!

So Cyan has her first week of Kindergarden behind her. She had lots of fun and met a couple new friends. Our little hard worker even earned two certificates in her first week. She is a rule follower. Here are her awards.

Second day of school

So today is Cyan's second day of school. She is wearing her leg-knees (leggings) and going to eat school lunch which is her second favorite food, cheese pizza. Plus there is an open house tonight.

Cyan is off to School

After a very long week of waiting Cyan started Kindergarten today. She has been very excited all summer and this morning was not different. She was awake at the crack of dawn and dressed with her backpack on at least 45 minutes before it was time to leave. She got to her classroom and was very excited to find that she had her own desk. She is the most excited about meeting new friends and learning how to read. So needless to say the only ones today was hard on is her parents.
