2nd Grade Production

Last night was Cyan's 2nd Grade production.  It was a hare and tortoise story.  Cyan played a little bird with her best friend Maia.  They had 2 lines and did a great job with them.

Cyan's B-day

Cyan had her birthday party a week after her birthday.  Both girls had been so excited for this party for a month.  One of the favorite activies in our house is to plan their upcoming birthday parties.

The party was held at Aerials (which is where they take gymnastics lessons).  Cyan created the invitation list all on her own and it included mostly school friends.  The kids all played for an hour and then there was birthday cake and presents in the party room.  It was a very fun time.

Taylor Swift

Cyan and Olivia are totally into Taylor Swift.  Cyan told me that she sings "some County and some City".

Sunday brunch

After church on Sunday we went to brunch with some lovely Johnson's.  Olivia even wore her fancy dress to eat fancy brunch.  The best part was, of course, the chocolate fountain.

Twins

Cyan smashed one of her birthday cupcakes on James' head, he basically dared her to.

Our Sweet Cyan is 8

Our sweet sweet Cyan turned 8.  Saturday the girls woke bright and early to find the house decorated for her birthday.

Cabin Fever

So we had all been sick and stuck in the house.  Finally on New Year's Day we felt better and wanted to get out of town.  We headed to Denver and went to the Park Meadows Mall for lunch.  Next we went to see the movie Tangled.  After the movie we decided we still were not done and we went to Dave and Busters for some video games.  It was a great day together.

Interruption

Sorry...  This blog will be interrupted by illness.

Actually our whole Christmas break was interrupted with that strep throat.  Not very much fun for any of us.  Especially Olivia who never got sick but was stuck inside for 6 days with all of us who were.
