Daddy and the girls are off trick or treating. The girls were so excited they could not contain themselves. At dinner during prayers Cyan said "thank you for this great holiday and that our Dad has the day off to be with us". Should of seen James 2 seconds after she said that. But here they are:

Carving Pumkins
We carved our pumpkins this morning. Cyan did her design and carving all by herself. Now we are eating the seeds.

Y- Family Fun Night
We went to the Y's Family Fun Night for some Halloween crafts and games. We met our friends the Case's there. It was pretty fun.

Costumes
Here are the girls in this year's costumes. Cyan is a vampire and Olivia calls herself a poodle skirt girl. We went out to dinner at a famous grey hair restaurant and the old ladies loved Olivia in her costume.

Rammy
On Saturday afternoon we went to visit Grandma Kitty's new, Rammy. Grandma went to visit Chase at college and accidentally came home with a brand new Golden Retriever puppy. Lucky her. Anyway it is a pretty cute little thing.
Family pics
We had some family pics taken on Saturday morning. It was pretty cold and windy. The girls would take off their coats, quick take the picture and race to put them back on.
I am not the owner of these images but thought I would be sneaky and share. The is not the final draft but just a sample. Here you go:

Friday on Ice
We spent Friday on or near ice. First, we took the kids ice skating and me the kids' friends Maia and Deliah there. Olivia lost and found her bravery for ice skating a couple times but ended the time on the ice. Cyan did very good and had a good time. I think James enjoyed the skating the best.
Then Friday night we went to the Air Force Hockey game. It was free hot dog, soda and popcorn night. Plus the Falcons won.
So all of this ice adventure and I didn't bring a camera to any of it. Use you imagination I guess.

Update
We have not been up to much lately but I thought I will give a quick update so no one thinks we fell off the planet - or floated away in a helium balloon.
James probably has bronchitis. I am just glad that it is apparently not H1N1.
Cyan is on a 2 week fall break. We have lucked out and out of 11 days off she has only had to go to day care 2. There was Columbus Day where I was off, James was sick and she stayed home with him, and I traded with a friend for 2 days. That combined with James having week days off added up. Pretty excited about that because it just reduces the day care expense.
Olivia is feisty as ever. Tonight she choose to go to bed at 7:30 rather than drink her milk.
Nothing is new with me.
So we are still here plugging away. Just always counting down to payday. ha ha. That should be our family motto.

Toothless wonder
So just about 15 minutes ago Cyan, Olivia and Amelia were roughhousing. All of a sudden I hear Cyan scream and then Olivia starts shouting "She is bleeding". I race to find that Cyan's tooth popped right out. Cy's front tooth had been a little loose but nothing to make us think it was about to fall out.
This is what she looks like:
She was really freaked out and scared. Once we found the tooth and showed her that it was just ready to come out she calmed down.

Wildcat of the month
Cyan was voted Wildcat of the Month by her teacher, Mrs Hinkle. She was nominated for being caring. Her teacher wrote that Cyan is always kind and caring to her friends. She helps the kids in her class and thinks of them before herself.
Charlottes Web
Cyan is signed up for an acting class. It is an after school class and they will perform Charlotte's Web in November. This week she came home saying that she is Wilber #2. That means she has at least 6 lines to memorize. When she asked to sign up I told her that she might not know anyone and might be the youngest, she said she didn't mind one bit. So if you want to see her performance it will be Nov 18 at 4 at her school. Otherwise I am going to try to video it and post it to the blog.
Pumpkin Patch
Olivia went on a field trip to a Pumpkin Patch. She was jump out of her skin excited to be big and ride the bus. Poor Olivia never gets to do the big stuff first but she did go on a field trip before sister. Plus she picked a large carving pumpkin. Pretty cool.

Giant Pumpkins
We went to see the giant pumpkin contest. The winner weighed in at over 1000lbs. No wonder countries hate America. Many people in the world don't have enough to eat and we grow pumpkins just to see how large we can get them, collect the seeds, then toss em. Actually that is how I feel about Halloween pumpkins in general but that didn't stop me from growing them.
Here are the pics:
