Ears Pierced
James and I made a deal with Olivia that when she stopped sucking her thumb she could get her ears pierced. Well last week she had the thumb sucking appliance removed and there has not been any more thumb sucking. So we let the ears get pierced.

Lemonade Stand
The girls had a lemonade stand at a neighbors garage sale this Saturday. The kids looked forward to this all summer and they were so excited!!!!
They earned 18 dollars. They used the money to buy makeup (lipgloss) and a candy for the movie we went to after.

Rollerskating!
The girls' school had rollerskating the other day. We met some kidss from our neighborhood. Here is a pic of the kids.
Cyan's homework
Here was a funny homework assignment that Cyan brought home in the first couple weeks.
We liked that she was afraid to get bad grades. I also really enjoyed the things she would like to see.

Bishop's Castle and Lake Isabel
The Johnson 4 headed to visit Bishop's Castle (first time for all of us) and Lake Isabel. First we went to the castle. We started climbing up and without intending we were all the way at the top.
This was the top of the globe tower. It was pretty shakey and Olivia was freaked.
Us at the top of the highest tower.
Next we went over to Lake Isabel. We has a miserable camping trip here with toddler Cyan. We left her pacifier at home and she cried the whole first night. Mom had enough and we left the next day. This time was much more enjoyable. The girls cast a couple of times on the lake. Then we had our picnic lunch. After that we walked around the lake. At the end where the stream let into the lake James found a fish. He reached in and grabbed it with his hands.

Johnson Party
There was a party with the Johnson side of the family this weekend. It was as fun as ever (I have great sister's in law and the kids have great cousins). I forgot to take my camera but I thought I would swipe these pics from a sister in law.

First day of school!
The girls started school today. Cyan is in third grade with Ms Gerwick and Olivia is in first with Ms Strickland. We like both of the teachers and are excited for what is to come this year.
Back to School Bash on Mt Evans
For our last celebration before school started the Johnson 4 drove up Mt Evans. The girls and I have never done that before and we were really excited to see the animals everyone talks about. The Mt did not disappoint. We saw big horn sheep, mountian goats, yellow bellied marmots and one solitary pika. We also took a quick Ranger program on bristlecone pine.
After Mt Evans we had dinner in Denver at the White Fence Farm which was a pretty cool place.
Girls Shopping Day
The girls and I did out back to school shopping together and they called it girls shopping day. First we went to Wal-Mart for supplies. Next was lunch at Wendy's. Then it was some clothes and shoes shopping. We ended the day with an frozen yogurt.
Park
I took the afternoons off of work a couple days before the girls started school. One afternoon we went to the park. Olivia made a friend and that friend bought her and her sister a snow cone.

Last weekend we celebrated Nina's first birthday. Morgan rented a slip and slide bounce house which was a blast. My kids also love to see one year olds smash the cake, Nina did not disappoint.
