Shooting with Dad and Grandpa

James is on vacation and him and the girls have been doing lots of fun stuff. Monday they went rock climbing and hiking, Tuesday they went to breakfast and a movie, and Wednesday they went shooting with Grandpa. Olivia keeps saying she shot Dad's number 2 (she means 22). Here are pics of the shooting:

Last T-ball game

Today was the last t-ball and baseball game for the season. The girls both had great coaches and had a lot of fun. They are already looking forward to next year. I forgot my camera at home so these are from my cell phone.

One Year

My blog's one year anniversary came and went without me even remembering. Does that suprise you, James? We forgot our 5 year wedding anniversary. Hey wait, isn't seven just around the corner?

So anyway. Thanks for keeping up with the Johnsons during the past year. It was fun. And onto the next year. I am sure it will be even better.

Sray Ground

Took the girls to the spray ground today. Olivia used to hate it because she did not like getting water in her face. She liked it today though. They both had fun.

More Smores

When we got home we started another fire and roasted marshmallows again. Here is James and his girls.

Belleview Park

A friend told me about this park in Denver. It was very nice. There was a little train, a petting zoo and a creek to wade in. I think we all liked the creek the best. Here are the pics:
Olivia holding her skirt up. No idea why.
Look what James found - the remains of a crawdad.

We went to the Museum when were done at the park but I did not take my camera. The new health exhibit is cool though.

Smores and Sprinklers

We did smores last night with our neighbors until the rain cut us short. We had T-ball and baseball this morning. When we got home the kids ran through the sprinklers with some neighbor kids.

Fishing

We all joined Grandpa Johnson on his boat at Eleven Mile Reservoir. The girls were very excited and we even let Roscoe join. No fish were caught in spite of all of Grandpa's gadgets. The last picture is how Olivia ended her fishing trip. That child could fall asleep anywhere.

Rodeo

For the first time ever we went to the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. We are glad we did. I liked it so much that next year I am buying front row seats. I saw the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life. Here are some pics of us at the rodeo.

These pictures did not turn out good but it was so cool I had to share. There was a "half-time" show of sorts. They let these 2 giant buffalo into the arena. Then this cowboy comes out and starts herding them around. That alone was pretty cool. But next out comes a giant flat-bed truck pulling a horse trailer. The truck goes to the center of the arena. The cowboy trots right over to it and jumps the horse onto the truck. Then he jumps it onto the top of the trailer. Next he does it all over again but with the trailer moving once he is on top. The coolest ever thing came when he herded the buffalo onto the top of the trailer and then him and the horse joined them on the top. The coolest thing I have ever seen. The bottom pic is the one with the 2 buffalo and coyboy on the trailer.

Uncle Jimmy

James' has an Uncle Jimmy (for which he is named) that visited from CA this weekend. There was breakfast at Grandma Johnson's so we could all see him and visit. Like always the kids played themselved tired.

This is the only pic I took and it is not that telling of our fun time. I will have to steal some from everyone else. ha ha Liz.

Look as promised : I stole these pics from my SIL. Thanks Liz This one is the grandkids plus Aunt Lydia all making funny faces.

4th of July

We decided to head to Cripple Creek for the 4th. We went to a 4th party with Grandma Kitty. Olivia was terrified of the loud noises but warmed up to them when we stayed inside Kitty's house for the big ones. It was a good time.
Here is Kitty with Olivia and Amelia watching the fireworks:

Pre- 4th

We were invited to our friend's for a Pre-4th BBQ. This is the friend who has girls almost the same age as mine. Plus, Maia is Cyan's best friend in school. So we ate some yummy food, made some crafts, and decorated bikes for a parade. The bike parade was short lived because of the near contant rain around here.
Here are the pics:
