USOC

Oddly enough I have lived my whole life in this area but never been to the Olympic Training Center.  The kids and I headed there today.  It was very cool - should of gone years ago.

Thumb sucker

A couple of months ago I bought Olivia a stop sucking thumb aid called a thumbbuster.  Silly thing was really pricey but worked really well right up until we lost it.  She basically uses it when she is tired or asleep.  We decided to try and make our own instead of buying another pricey one.  Here is the final product (plus we made 4 others in about 30 minutes)

Crickets

Then this morning we bought the chickens some crickets from the pet store.  I thought it would be funnier than it was.  The crickets were really too small to be noticed by chickens other than the one eating it.  (Yesterday there was a pretty hilarious episode with blueberries and the chickens - the one with the blueberry was chased around the yard by the others).

Egg

The girls went outside to lock up the chickens for the night.  They found our first egg too.  They were so excited they could hardly contain themselves.  Then they ate it for breakfast.

Ice Festival

We met Grandma Kitty, Grandpa Ike, and the Chavez's for the Ice Festival in Cripple Creek.  Here are some pics of the kids with the ice.

Rockin Ponytail

We have a saying in our house "Anything Dad can do, Mom can do also" and turns out it goes both ways.  Here is a pic of a pretty rockin' ponytail that James did for Olivia for a school day.  There were some pretty rockin pigtails once too.

Valentine

James went to the girls Valentines Day parties at school.  He said it was organized chaos but I am leaning more to the straight chaos.  Cyan's class made ice cream sundaes and exchanges Valentines.  Olivia's class had snacks and then did the exchange. 

While James was with Cyan's class she gave him this Valentine and he had to excuse himself from the room.  He actually is the world's biggest softie under it all :)
