Here are some pictures of Christmas Day:

James scored campfire sandwhich makers and stadium chairs.  Here they are testing it out.
This is the only picture I remembered to take at Grandma Kitty's.  Here are the girls opening their presents.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was the traditional Johnson family Christmas gathering.  There was food, company, gifts, cousing, and tons of laughs.

Cyan and Hannah performing the Christmas carols she had worked on copying the lyrics for all week.

Sledding

The girls had Hannah and Amelia over to play.  They decided they wanted to go sled down a hill that is a couple blocks from our house.  The charged up the hill and sled right down.  We only had two sleds so there were lots of combinations of tandem sledding.  Turned out Amelia did not like it and cried the whole drive home.

Here are some pics

Second lost tooth

Olivia had another tooth fall out on the day before Christmas Eve.  It was so loose that she could feel the bottom.  I told her that she just needed to pull it out.  So she grabbed a papertowel and pulled it right out.

My friend Athena hosts a Gingerbread Party for her kids to invite their friends.  It was a very cute idea and my kids had a blast.  Here are some pictures:

Olivia's lost tooth

Olivia has waiting a long time to lose her first tooth.  She was getting pretting impatient and had recently told me that the tooth fairy comes into her room and tightens her teeth at night.  Well her theory was put to test when she had a tooth pop out while eating a cookie.  The tooth fairy even visited even though she was a "non-believer".  Once the tooth fairy came she was thrilled with the money and we rushed out for a toy the next day.

Ice Skating

James and I took the girls ice skating for a family day.  Cyan says that James is pretty good but sometimes he "shows off".

Girl Scouts Court of Awards

The girls had their girl scouts "Court of Awards" ceremony recently.  The recieved their pins for joining the troop and also recieved all the badges that they earned.

PJ Day

Olivia's classroom had a pajama day and watched the Polar Express while they drank hot cocoa.  I went into the classroom after the movie while they were coloring a Christmas page but she didnt want me to take a picture or stay in her class.  Typical Olivia :)

Food Fair

Cyan's classroom is doing a unit on food.  The learned all kinds on things to where food comes from to sustainability to measurement for recipes.  At the end of the unit the kids picked a food that was important to their families and on the last day they could bring in that food.  Cyan choose to write her recipe on tostados.  She had to read about why that is important to her family to her whole class.  She said it is important because we all like it and her mom has a special secret ingredient - love!  I almost died when I heard her read that.

Here is her food.

Cyan reading her recipe with her teacher (who was dressed like an old Christmas lady for the last day before break).

Olivia's program

Olivia had a 1st grade Christmas program this year.  She was so excited about this it was all she talked about for a month.  She even picked out a new dressy sweater for the occasion.  Even James took the day off and cooked a special dinner for the performer.  We really enjoyed the program and went for ice cream after.

She wouldn't let me take a close up picture before the show show this is all I have.  She is in the second row two from the left.

Cookie Exchange

We hosted our annual cookie exchange this year too.

Joy and Jim's Party

Jim and Joy hosted a Christmas party that was very fun.  Here are some pictures:

Tree

We decided to get a real Christmas tree this year.  We definitely learned some lessons on buying one (like not stopping after the gym while wet from working out in 10 degree weather).  But here is James muscling our tree and then an after shot.

Wild

James and the girls play WILD!!  Here is the evidence:

Turkey Trot

On Thanksgiving morning we all headed to run our first 5k.  My friend Athena and her girls met us there too.  The activities started with a kids fun run where the girls ran a mile.  There was enough time after the first mile so they had the kids run another mile.  Next came the 5k for James and I.  We both finished and are excited for the next one.  We decided that since the kids ran 2 miles that next time they would run the 5k with us.

Here are some pictures of my girls with Athena and her kids:
