Another trip to the zoo but we forgot to to take many.

Sky Sox with the Reds

Olivia's baseball team organized a trip to a Sky Sox game.  We were lucky that all 4 of us were able to go.  We arrived to the field in a complete downpour which continued past the start time of the game.  Finally, it stopped and the crews started working to get the field ready.  The game did start 2 hours after the original time.  We didnt stay for the whole thing but we had fun while we were there.

Rodeo

All 4 of us went to the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo on Saturday.  From this, Cyan decided she wants a horse.

Swimming

Robyn, Tyler, and Hannah invited us to come and swim with them at their pool.  Those kids swam and swam for about 3 hours.  They were so tired when we left they asked to go home instead of going to Toy Story 3.  Here are some pics:

More Movies

We have been going to the outdoor movies showing in Briargate.  Here are pics of two different weeks.  One week was Monsters v. Aliens and the next was Alvin and the Chipmonks.

Master of the Monkey Bars

Cyan has put her mind to mastering the monkey bars in the past couple months.   I would say she has now completed that task.  She can go forward, backward, skip a bar, do flips and hang upside down.  Cyan is definitely a kid that once she puts her mind to it there is no stopping her.

More Baseball

We had another Saturday of baseball games for the girls.  Cyan even had to play a double header.  She is a great player, she got a hit every time she was up and even got 3 outs at first base.  We were really proud of Olivia as well.  She got two hits off of balls that were thrown (not off the T) and fielded a ball when it was hit to her.

Parks with the Extended Cousins

The girls and I went to meet Sondi and Jen and their kids in Castle Rock to do a little park jumping.  I guess park jumping is a Castle Rock thing and I can understand why after seeing how many great parks they have.  It was great to see them and catch up.

Zip Line

For the Fourth of July we went to the Palmer Lake celebration.  The girls did a zip line while we were there.  Here are pics of them getting ready.

Neighborhood parade

This year there was a neighborhood parade complete with the local firetrucks.  The kids rode their bikes behind the firetrucks and we went a couple blocks even Roscoe joined.  Here are the pics.

Wedding

Here are the girls playing some game.  We were noticing the difference between boys and girls.  My girls were sitting and playing this game while a friends' boys were doung backflips off the ottomans.

Nacho crackers

The girls made their own snacks.  They are called nacho crackers which is a cheese slice melted on a saltine.  This must be a snack at summer camp because I certainly have never made it. 

Fireworks in the driveway

We have had some leftover fireworks for years.  We decided to use them up this year.  So here is a pic of the girls doing some poppers and James relaxing.  Notice that Olivia is wearing ear protection because she is actually terrified of the popping noise.

Rehearsal Dinner

James' friend Eric was married this weekend and James was in the wedding.  So first on Friday there was a rehearsal dinner.  At the dinner portion we caught this picture, it is the twins holding the twins.  This is Kevin, who is James' very good friend.  They work together and everyone there calls them twins.  Well Kevin and his wife also just had twins.  Thus the twins with the twins.

We were also feeding Bennett some cheese and he had a very funny reaction.  He would get it in his mouth then shake.  So funny.  I didn't get a pic of that but here is our girls watching it. 

Then there was a pinata for the kids.

Movie Outside

On Thursday night, we went to the outdoor movie at the Shops at Briargate.  Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was showing.  We packed some popcorn and candy and laid out a blanket.  It was very fun.
